Everything about Autumn excites me. I love the chilly weather as it provides every excuse to wrap up warm or stay inside. I love the food, comforting, stodgy and calorific. But mostly I love adorning my talons with the Autumn nail lines, and Jessica have certainly tempted me with their new collection.
A Night at the Opera Collection* (£9.75 each) is full of dramatic colours, 4 laced with the most sophisticated metallic shimmer and 2 beautifully deep glossy colours.
Velvet & Pearls is a tuxedo inspired glossy black, Prima Donna is a metallic indigo with hints of gold and pink and Standing Ovation is a metallic pine green with oil spill tones about it.
The deep denim coloured Blue Aria is never one I believed I would like, but it’s almost navy in certain lights and isn’t as harsh on my pale skin as I thought. Opening Night is described as a metallic plum, but on the nails translates into a deep fuchsia shot through with red undertones.
My favourite though is Overture. Metallic Burnt Copper that reminds me of crisp Autumn leaves, warm hats and hot tomato soup. With golden shimmer shot through it, this only needs one coat but two make it pop, and in the pics above I’ve not even got a top coat on it. Super glossy, which can be rare for shimmer shades. What a beauty.
Jessica you’ve hit the nail (pun use – #sorryimnotsorry) on the head with this collection!
Any of these shades catching your eye? What are your favourite Autumn nail colours?
