Isn’t it funny how a haircut can change the way you feel? Thankfully I have my hairdresser mum at the ready when the need arises, and it did last week. I requested a more blunt style as the ends were looking thin and bedraggled, and I wanted my hair to look thick again. I remember when I used to have short hair and a cut would always seem so drastic, but now that my hair is longer a cut is more of a refresh. In fact this time I requested for more to be lopped off!
My boyfriend said that he’s seen me a lot in a certain colour and outfit lately. This pale blue blazer and tee colour block combo that I bought very recently is so easy to wear. I’ve been throwing it on for meetings with the pictured great value super smart trousers, luxe-ing it up with heels for my birthday dinner and pairing it with jeans for a casual day look. With silver jewellery it looks laid back, but the white statement necklace amps it up a notch to make it dressier.
I wore it recently to an English Excellence event at the British Museum for a magazine that I write for called International Life. Being inside such a beautiful venue made me realise how I’m a Londoner, yet haven’t seen many famous London landmarks. I want to see some more before the year is out.
Anybody else get new clothes and cannot wait to wear them?
