Colour Pop

Colour PopColour PopI turned 24 this week, and it has been a week of mixed emotions, fabulous presents and lovely surprises and deciding to take control of my life. It is safe to say that it is time for a change, and as I’m not someone who likes change I decided, embracing it rather than fearing it is the way forward.

In the spirit of change I decided to get my legs out. I own no skirts (a revelation that some of you shared on twitter recently) and rarely wear dresses, so it was time for a switcheroo.

I wore this outfit down to dinner at the spa where the boy took me for my birthday. The food was delicious, the facial was dreamy and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend doing nothing. My documentation of my Stripe Obsession is not new, but this dress is the perfect dress up or dress down all in one. The clutch (which I LOVE) gives the outfit a nice pop of colour to break up the monochrome look, plus the studded detail and tassel keep it edgy and fun at the same time.

I hope when I look back at the post in 24 more years that I will laugh about how I worry about things I have no control over. Better to live in the present than stress myself out over things that have not yet (or may never) occur.

Anybody else a worrier?
